About
I’m Martin Maritsch, a Data Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Zurich, Switzerland.
🔬 During my PhD research at ETH Zurich, I focused on Machine Learning & Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) for driver state detection in cars at the Bosch IoT Lab. I also spent time as a Visiting Researcher at Stanford University.
💻 Before, I held various software engineering and research roles, including at AVL, fan.at, and Know Center. My expertise spans Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud Infrastructure, and I hold all 13 AWS certifications.
🎓 I hold a PhD from ETH Zurich, and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Software Engineering and Management from Graz University of Technology. I also spent a year studying at Aalto University in Finland.
☁️ I joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2023, helping global AWS enterprise customers leverage Generative AI to drive business outcomes.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time in the mountains 🏔️ and supporting the marching band Trachtenmusikkapelle Judendorf-Strassengel 🥁
